DIY Facial mask@home

We might be sick of wearing face masks, but these treatment facial masks your skin will love you for! Let’s find some time to de-stress and most of us will have plenty of time to pamper ourselves over the next week or so. Lets keep being positive and do something therapeutic for ourselves too. When we feel and look good everything seems a whole lot better.

Why not have a mask night?
Step1: Cleanse

Step 2: Exfoliate

Step3: Mask

Relax & enjoy a glass of wine :)

My THREE favourite facial masks for hydration:
1. Dermalogica Multivitamin mask
We have recently launched Dermalogica in the clinic and I love this mask! Anti-aging and hydration perfect for all year round. Infused with vitamins and antioxidants. I love the glowy look after using this mask. I have found it isn’t heavy even for a combination skin type. It's almost like a vitamin infusion for the skin as it has vitamins A, B, C, E and B5. Perfect to use before a night out to achieve a healthy glow.
Leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes.

2. Cosmedix pure enzyme mask
Its 2 in 1 (Exfoliation and mask). Exfoliation is critical in the absorption of the active ingredients. This mask will smooth out fine lines and wrinkles, improve pigmentation and acne. How? It has lactic acid and cranberry enzymes to gently remove dead skin cells. The botanical ingredients in there will firm, smooth lines and wrinkles, and salicylic acid to reduce inflammation and acne formation. I love the simplicity of this mask. Just apply after cleansing and leave it on for 3 to 10 minutes. No excuses. Mask night tonight? Definitely!!

3.Aspect Dr Probiotic sleep mask
My skin gets dehydrated throughout winter and this mask is perfect if you need that extra hydration. Not only is it great for moisture its also excellent for dehydration as it contains vitamin B5. Just to simplify dry skin is lack of moisture and dehydration is lack of water. We all get dehydrated so for an oily/combination skin type apply the mask and leave it on for 20 minutes, if your skin is dry then sleep with the mask overnight. It has Aloe Vera great for a sensitive skin. Antioxidants from pomegranate and acai berries will improve skin health. You will wakeup to smoother, hydrated skin.

I mix & match my masks according to how my skin feels so have a look in the mirror and see how you'll like your skin to feel and there's a mask for everyone!

Tip: Exfoliation removes dead skin cells and therefore promotes healthy skin cells to be pushed to the surface and encourages smoother, healthier skin. This will allow better results from your masks as its aim is to target specific skin care concerns. If you've ever wondered why your skin may be looking dull? Exfoliate and use a mask as your weekly treatment for brighter looking skin.
