Skincare Essentials for keeping the skin youthful

Written by Joanna Tan

My daily morning routine is so simple in preparing my skin for the day ahead and protecting it from free radicals, pollution and UV sun damage. My top 2 skincare goals I recommend for the morning:

Aspect Dr Active C Serum

Aspect Dr is an exclusive cosmeceutical skincare range that delivers high performance skincare products and combining active ingredients so we can visibly see the results.

How to use it?

The airtight 30ml pump with its twist lock lid that prevents the Vitamin C from oxidising and maintains its stability. Only to be used in morning as it protects the skin from free radicals. One pump is all you need before application of your day moisturiser and SPF is a must. It even smells like oranges..almost like a glass of orange juice for your skin! What are the benefits?

Looking in the mirror and start noticing signs of aging? Dull skin? Vitamin C is an antioxidant for the skin that evens out the skin tone and texture, prevents hyperpigmentation, smooths out fine lines and delays signs of ageing by stimulating production of collagen to reveal brighter, radiant skin! The stable PH neutral Vitamin C also has peptides and Panthenol (Vitamin B5) to increase the effectiveness and absorption of the serum, and therefore also makes it suitable for an oily or sensitive skin.

ASAP Moisturising daily defence SPF 50
The most important last step to your skincare routine. On a daily basis we are exposed to damaging UVA and UVB rays and especially in NZ the rays are harsh, whether you are indoors or outdoors exposure is still there. This physical sunscreen includes the benefits of a daily moisturiser. How to use it?

The 50ml or 100ml squeeze tube is easy to use every morning as your 2in1 moisturiser, after your serum. The texture is light, non-oily and fast absorbing and it doesn’t leave the skin looking chalky. Perfect for all skin types including acne.

What are the benefits? It is a physical sunscreen that provides broad spectrum SPF50+. Protects the skin against UVA and UVB rays. The Zinc oxide mineral base sunscreen is safe to use as a night moisturiser as it is non comedogenic so it wont clog the pores or cause breakouts. It also has Hyaluronic acid to hydrate the skin and promote skin elasticity. Niacinamide (Vit B3) supports the skin’s barrier and by doing this it has many benefits such as targeting pigmentation, protects against sun damage, minimises redness and inflammation, treats acne, minimizes pore appearance too!

Including Vitamin C serum and sunscreen it’s the perfect pairing! With the combination it will protect the skin from free radical damage, which can lead to premature aging and with the daily protection of the sunscreen it’ll combat against exposure to UV light throughout the day.
